Application of 3D Solid Modeling in Measurement and Error Evaluation of Spiral Bevel Gear
It is very important to get real factor and ideal factor for the spiral bevel gears error measurement and evaluation. According to its complexity tooth surface shape, the real factor was gotten by CMM which could measure the coordinates of the intersection points in the real gear tooth surface. For the ideal factor, this paper proposed that it was gotten by building the 3d solid modeling in UG based on the gears basic parameters and cutter head parameters. The application of 3d solid modeling in spiral bevel gears error measurement and evaluation was explained by measuring and evaluating the automobile rear axles driven gear. The result shows that this way is very effective and feasible.
