A Study on Application of Multidimensional Association Rule Mining in Adverse Drug Reactions

With the serious problem of adverse drug reactions (ADRs), we conduct multi-dimensional association rule mining method based on data cube with online analytical processing technology (OLAP) by establishing multi-dimensional database of ADRs. The slicing technique of OLAP operation is introduced into the mining process to mine multidimensional association relationship of ADRs and finally explore the useful and deep knowledge hidden in ADRs. The example presents some good prospects in the field of adverse drug reactions, which also paves a solid foundation for further evaluation and early warning on adverse drug reactions. This is significantly meaningful to provide supports for prescription on the illnesses treatments.
