Method of Dual-process Synchronization control and Time Information Processing in Wireless Structure Health Monitoring

Synchronization control is indispensable for the application of wireless sensor networks (WSN) in structure health monitoring (SHM), and it is fundamental for the field diagnosis in this kind of application; how to acquire accurate time information is critical for the synchronization control. This paper presents a method of synchronization control and time information processing as follows: network time is initialized by time stripping; and then sensor nodes get sampling time information by dualprocess synchronization control; gateway optimize the time information by smoothing compensation algorith. This method can prevent the impact for time information caused by time synchronization and loss of packet during the high-frequency acquisition, and increase reliability for the field diagnosis in SHM.
