Study of Sub-pixel Edge Detection for Irregular Object Based on Structured Light

Edge detection accuracy is a key issue in the three-dimensional measurement based on structure light. In this paper, the method combined Canny operator with the cubic spline interpolation is presented, which achieves sub-pixel feature extraction for the structured light beams. The proposed algorithm has a faster speed, strong antinoise and high precision locations. The experimental results reveal that the algorithm can improve the effectiveness of .the measurement accuracy.
