Modeling of operating coils in permanent magnetic actuator based on vacuum circuit breaker

A modeling method of fitting operating coils current model is presented, and the two kinds of equivalent circuit models of the operating coil current fitting are established, which are according to the two steady state two coil configuration permanent magnetic actuator of the vacuum circuit breaker, and the analysis of the relationship between the current waveform in the operating coil and the movable plunger in steel travel are made from the viewpoint of the current. According to the current waveform given by the actuator simulation design using the piecewise linearization method to calculate the parameter of the circuit model, and the current curve of the opening coil and the closing coil in the actuator can be fitted accurately by using the circuit model and the operating voltage of the actuator, then compare the simulation waveform and the experimental result with the same actuator under the condition of the indentical voltage. In this way, it proves the feasibility of establishing the circuit model and the parameter computation of circuit. And the circuit model can be applied in the simulation design of the operating coils in permanent magnetic actuator, particularly in choosing power electronic device and its protection circuit parameter.
