Improvements and Simulations of DV-Hop Localization Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Networks

Many applications of Wireless Sensor Network) need to determine the nodes absolute or relative position automatically and accurately. An improved DV-Hop localization algorithm is proposed in this paper. Three levels of correction will be implemented: First. Eliminating the average hop distance error of all the beacon nodes . Second, Eliminating overlaps of the paths.Third, calculating the average hop distance of network. The simulation results show that the proposed improvements can enhance the localization accuracy and coverage of the nodes.
