A NOVEL OPTIMIZATION CONTROL TECHNIQUE IN FUZZY LOGIC BASED ON THE RICCATI EQUATION
-The use of state space methods in control systems is well known for linear and multivariable systems, but for fuzzy logic based system design, there is not yet much work reported in literature. This is particularly noteworthy in the case of optimal control law determination for state space systems based on Fuzzy logic variables. Because of the advantage of using Fuzzy logic to characterize nonlinear elements in control, when it comes to optimize a control law for certain performance index, the use of the method based on linear systems has to be modified. There, a Riccati type equation is to be solved for this control law estimation. In this paper, it is shown how the Riccati equation can be dealt with in the nonlinear fuzzy logic based state space control systems.
