Design of an Intelligent Electrical Conductivity Sensor for Aquaculture
Electrical conductivity is an important parameter for Aquaculture. An intelligent electrical conductiv-ity sensor for aquaculture has been proposed in this paper. The MSP430 microcontroller is adopted in the measurement circuit to control sampling time, temperature compensation. Because it adopts NE555 to transfer the output voltage of electrode into frequency directly, so there no need to design signal amplification circuit for electrical electrode, the measurement circuit is easy to realize. The temperature compensation has been achieved by lots of experiment which has been taken on different temperature level. When being used in the measurement of electrical conductivity for Aqua-culture, it measures the temperature signal and electrical conductivity signal at the same time, and then it reads the temperature compensation parameters which have been stored in the TEDS to realize temperature compensation. The intelligent electrical conductivity sensor has the character-istic of easy to stable, self-tuning, self-temperature compensation.
