The MATLAB-based Model Base Management System in DSS of Construction Project
Since the model base was introduced into management information system, the ability of decision-making of computer system has been enhanced greatly. The model base and its management system have now become the core components of DSS, and it is more and more important that the models were managed efficiently. In DSS, there are two basic types of model management methods. One is the special designed system for a special purpose of application, and another is the all-purpose designed for most type of application. The MATLAB-based model management method presented in this paper is the type of second one. That is, MATLAB can be used as the main model calculating part in DSS. This paper gives the advantage and power ability of MATLAB in the process of model calculation. Then, the main function framework of MATLAB-based model management system is discussed, including the storage strategy, the call strategy, and the maintenance and query strategy. Finally, in this paper, its application is illustrated in the field of construction project.
