The article discusses the significance of public interest and participation in city construction. Urban renewal has close connection with public interest because of the problems existing in the effective preservation. Public participation can help us protect our original features in a better way, it can provide basis for equality and equity in urban renewal. The author probes new thoughts and methods of participation in urban renewal, consequently prospects the splendid future of the city construction environment and realizes the sustainable development of modern city.
