A Study on Visual Scale and Proportion of Computer Used Chinese Fonts
Based on an investigation about computer used Chinese fonts which has done during the first half year of 2007,601 kinds of computer used Chinese fonts at the time were collected. In order to find out the user’s preference of these fonts, we classified and analyzed these fonts, designing questionnaire to investigate users preference. Based on the outcome of the questionnaire, the most favorite fonts and the most unpopular fonts in 601 kinds of fonts were found, the reasons of the outcome were discussed. Furthermore, a study on the scale and proportion of the fonts which had been chose out was done. Then we compare the scales and proportions of the fonts, finding the numeral differences of the scales and proportions between the most favorite and the most unpopular fonts.
