The Application of Semiotics in Product Design
The relationship between how designers intend products to be interpreted and how they are subsequently interpreted has often been represented as a process of communication. By analyzing the theory of semiotics and the principle and method of product design, the internal relationship between them is found and the basic principle and method of the application of semiotics are obtained, which will make product design better satisfy people’s demand for the practical value, symbolic value, personalization of product and high artistic quality and bring more happiness to people’s life.
