Research on the Allusion of the Buddha and Application on Buddhism Landscape Planning Design Taking the Landscape Planning Design of Foguang Temple for an Example
This paper takes the landscape planning design of Foguang Temple for an example, discussing how to apply environment arts design to the Buddhism culture in the planning of the Buddhism culture theme centered tourism landscape zone. This design is planning by the arts methods of contrast between abstraction and concretization, symbol and metaphor, borrowed scenery and man-made landscape in planning layout and landscape fabrication, which interpret the connotations of Buddhist culture and make people feel the spirits of the Buddha in touring. Further more, ecological and development design are promoted in the landscape planning, so as to develop the spirits of the Buddha and keep the pace of Buddhism culture landscape planning with the harmony times.
