Application of Folding Structure in Product Design
With the great development of modern society, a contradiction between the survival space narrowing and the increasing population has become the most prominent problem. Folding structure can change the products’ state to save space, which is not the purpose of product design, but becomes the consumers’ demand on the product’s function. This paper firstly analyzes the concept and form of folding structure, then summarizes function value of the folding structure from many examples in product design, which is helpful to develop the compact product for designers.
