The Design Semantic analysis on Swiss National Visual Identity

Switzerland possesses an extremely high visual perception in the international society, which has a close relationship with the ideas of national visual identity design. From the perspective of design semiotics, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis on the typical visual works characterized by national features. In the process of researching on the application of icons, we select 10 Swiss Franc as a representative case; In the process of researching on the application of symbols, we choose some typical national symbols including Swiss cow, national flag, the Alps, etc. The purpose is to get inspiration from semantic application in Swiss national visual identity design, and to offer new references to some design cases which aims at establishing a unified visual identity.
