Research on Integrated Model of Products’ Conceptual Design Based on AD and TRIZ and its Application
Basing on the study of the fusion mechanism of Axiomatic Design (AD) and Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ), the integrated model is established for conceptual design of mechanical products. In this model, the rules of technology evolution in TRIZ are used to govern the hierarchical decomposition of AD and to offer decoupled methods for the coupling problem in AD. The function decomposition of AD can effectively solve the complex multilevel problem that TRIZ cannot handle. This integrated model has been used to deal with the coupling problems in the design of a hydraulic buffer. A good design scheme of the hydraulic buffer, which has a compact structure, is suitable for using in severe environment and is installed easily, is obtained. Therefore, the validity of the integrated model is proved.
