Research on Optimizing Design for the Shoes Upper-making Processes
Stitching procedure is the main factor to affect whole producing efficiency of upper-making, therefore it is essential to arrange and optimize the upper-making process. This paper studies on scheduling and optimizing upper-making processes of shoes with examples of dividing process, setting down working time, detailing process, scheduling flow of processes, and arranging and balancing process. Through the research on both action and time of these processes, the techniques of stitching process are analyzed, the procedure and order of a process are set down, and finally all the processes are optimized and arranged. The focuses of this study are to manage production time for each process, to put forward proposal to improve production efficiency of pper-making assembly line in Just In Time mode, and to construct a set of production flow for shoes upper-making process that can respond quickly. In this research, the chosen shoes manufacturers all possess higher management level, more mature assembly line, and various types of products. The chosen operators are all moderately skillful workers, who are chosen to test how long the stated operation process can complete in reasonable speed under standard operation condition. Finally, the employees working in assembly line are arranged and the equipments are layouted reasonably, an optimal proposal to improve production efficiency is put forward, and further process of shoes upper-making with efficient productivity is summarized.
