Thoughts on the Development of Bamboo Household Product Design--Based on the Low Carbon Concept
Under the background of global discussing and practicing low carbon economy, the EU has made it clear as a future direction for the development of low-carbon economy. We should also change attitudes, practice energy conservation, to avoid further environmental pollution. Bamboo is a new, green, energy saving, and nvironmentfriendly material. Compared with the trees, bamboos grow quickly and are very widespread. During the processing of bamboo, you can also avoid pollution caused by energy consumption and waste. On Shanghai World Expo the INBAR pavilion is filled with all kinds of bamboo and rattan products,so we can see the change of bamboo from the traditional uses to modern uses. Bamboo home design products are not only fresh and natural, beautiful and fashionable, but also consistent with the pursuit of the modern concept of lowcarbon life. During the designing process of Bamboo household products, the designing tactics of standardization and humanization should be adopted and the nature of the material should be conducted, in which way the products can become more systematic and standardized to make them better integrated into modern life.
