A Reflection on the Innovation of Visual Communication Design Education in the New Media Era
The visual communication design is undergoing a revolution in the new media era. Through analyzing the impacts on the visual communication design discipline of the new media revolution, as well as the evolution and the current curriculum of visual communication design major in China, this essay points out the problems with the present teaching mode and brings forward three tasks of top priority in the present innovation of visual communication design education: 1, update the inner thread of the curriculum; 2, update the pattern of curriculum structure; 3, Explore and build a basic course group of visual communication design as multidisciplinary shared platform.
