Effect of some factors on characterization of as-cast Ni74Cr16Mo5Ti4 superalloy ingot

Ni74Cr16Mo5Ti4 superalloy was investigated on the equipments with high confident and accurate level. The siphon casting obtained smooth-glossy ingots with light-white surface. The optimal chemical compositions of Ni74Cr16Mo5Ti4 superalloy are 73.43%Ni, 16.64%Cr, 5.94%Mo, 3.99%Ti, 0.40%Cu, 0.49%AI. The casting temperature at 1,385°C is optimal when optimal contents of molybdenum and titanium are 5.94%Mo and 3.99%Ti, respectively. The crystallization and microstructure of as-cast ingots are firmly influenced by the casting temperature of Ni74Cr16Mo5Ti4 superalloy. The hardness obtains optimality of 334 HV, when optimal contents of molybdenum and titanium are 6%Mo and 4.2%Ti, respectively.
