Matched Illumination Waveforms Design for Rangespread Target in Heterogeneous Clutter plus Noise

Design of optimal matched illumination waveforms for uncorrelated scattering (US) range-spread target and clutter models is addressed in this paper. Both the optimal waveforms based on minimizing minimum mean square error (MMSE) and maximizing signal-to-clutter-plus-noise ratio (SCNR) are considered. Simulation results are shown.
