Airborne Weather Radar Application for Measurement of the Water Surface Backscattering Signature
Measuring the water surface backscattering signature using the airborne weather radar operating in the groundmapping mode as a scatterometer, in addition to its meteorological and navigation application, is discussed. An algorithm for measuring the water surface backscattering signature is proposed.
