Scattering Characteristic Analysis and Underwater Acoustic Measurement Experiment for Ship Targets

In this paper, the multipath scattering characteristics is studied for ship targets nearby rough sea surface. Firstly, the sea-surface reflection is modeled by a specular component and a diffuse component. Based on the multipath model, the scattering intensity of radar target is analyzed for ship target nearby rough sea surface. Furthermore, the expression of the factor influence on the ship targets in the presence of seasurface induced multipath is given with the radar equation. Lastly, with the comparability of the acoustic wave and the electromagnetic wave, the validity of the method proposed is proved by the results of the underwater acoustic measurement experiment.
