Planar Array ISAR Imaging and Anti-jamming Performance Analyzation
Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) is a technique to generate a two-dimensional high resolution image of a target. In situations where other radars display only a single unidentifiable bright moving pixel, the ISAR image is often adequate to discriminate between various missiles, military aircraft, and civilian aircraft. It can improve the signal to noise ratios (SNR) using planar array antenna configuration. The imaging geometry of the planar array ISAR was shown firstly. Then signal processing flow was expounded, and the minimum entropy method was proposed to align the range signal from different receive antenna elements. The spatially variant apodization was used to eliminating sidelobes. The anti-jamming performance of the planar array ISAR was analyzed. Simulations were executed in the end and all results illustrated the superiority of the planar array ISAR.
