Spatial Baseline Decorrelation of Geosynchronous Circular SAR Interferometry

With appropriate orbit parameters, the circular SAR imaging mode can be realized on the geosynchronous orbit satellite to get high resolution three-dimensional (3D) image. It would also overcome the coverage and revisit period limitation. Repeat pass inrerferometry for geosynchronous circular SAR (GEOCSAR) could be carried out, comparing images taken at 24 hours interval. The geosynchronous orbit is influenced by perturbations, which cause the variation of the orbit and thus the spatial baseline is formed. The spatial baseline decorrelation of GEOCSAR interferometry in 2D and 3D model are analyzed, and the corresponding critical baselines are derived in this paper.
