What do we mean by Mobile Education? Mobile Learning takes place when a student uses a portable device, such as a smartphone, netbook or tablet, or handheld gaming device, to access learning materials and systems and/or to interact with other learners and teachers or the environment. It has the advantages of enabling learning to take place at any time in any location, at a pace chosen by the learner whilst providing a personalised and motivating learning experience relevant to location and context. It can be individual and collaborative and transformational.
