ALGORITHM FOR IMPROVING ACCURACY IN GPS USING DUAL FREQUENCY
In this paper an attempt is made to reduce the WAAS associate error and further increase the accuracy of WAAS. The WAAS can be simulated with the help of Matlab Algorithm Availability Simulation Tool (MAAST). Where we can observe that the direct use of multiple frequencies would be more accurate and offer high availability by directly estimating and removing the ionospheric effects and also another way to take advantage of the multiple frequencies is to use the additional GPS frequencies as a backup navigation method when RFI is present. In this paper we have simulated the output for the different combination of GPS signal Such as LI L2, and LI L5 in the MAAST tool and finally compare them. Where we observe that L1, L5 is providing the better accuracy as compared with the other two combination because the greater the frequency separation enhances the ionosphere delay estimation and helps in the removal of ionosphere error.
