AMP-AN APPLICATION SECURITY FRAMEWORK FOR ANDROID MOBILE PHONES
Mobile devices have gained extensive usage in commercial and financial applications. The primary goal of the paper is to explore how mobile devices might be used to store personal confidential information in a secure manner. The framework for designing and implementing such a secured system using mobile Android platform is presented in this paper. The design uses Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption/decryption algorithm to store and retrieve data securely to/from SQLite database. A simple application to store credit card and other information in a mobile phone is developed. The principles and methods can potentially be extended to securely store and retrieve any confidential information in a mobile device.
