A DECOMPOSITION APPROACH TO COMPOUND NOUNS IN KOREAN

摘要：

This paper investigates decompositions of compound nouns for the index terms, which plays a very important role in the field of information search. Generally, we need to discriminate the compound nouns and divide or ambiguously decompose the particle and the ending. Moreover, we also need to decompose compound nouns with unregistered unit noun in order to obtain exact decompositions. Through the detailed analysis of the above problems, a new decomposition approach of compound nouns is proposed in this paper. The simulation result shows that the proposed method is effective and feasible.
