A FRAMEWORK OF INTEGRATED PROCESS PLANNING WITH OPTIMIZED PROCESS PARAMETERS FOR LEAF SPRING MANUFACTURING
The recent development of computer aided process planning, effectively integrates the design with the other phases in an industrial environment. In this paper a framework of a new generative computer aided process plan for the leaf spring manufacturing assembly, is proposed. It includes the feature based design of components through CAD application programming interfaces, determination of optimal process sequences with respect to the individual leaf, and the generation of optimal process parameters for major controlled manufacturing processes. The feature-based design environment is applied to the design, modeling, synthesis, illustration and evaluation of the product. It is executed with an existing CAD programming software tool, the Solid Works 2010, MS.Net as a graphical user interface, and the MS-Access for the database. The Meta heuristic procedures.Tabu Search Method and the Simulated Annealing algorithm have been applied to obtain the optimal process parameters.
