RESEARCH ON GROUND CLUTTER SIMULATION FOR AIRBORNE FORWARD-LOOKING WIND SHEAR RADAR
The wind shear is one kind of the turbulence meteorological which wind direction and the wind speed changes suddenly in the level and the vertical direction.It will threaten seriously to the airplane when taking off and the landing. The ground clutter power is quite strong, so the meteorological echo will be submerged by the ground clutter.This paper has mainly analyzed the ground clutter characteristic of airborne radar, modeled to the ground clutter, and has carried on the simulation to the main lobe clutter and the side lobe clutter by separately.The result indicated that the ground clutter model can reflect the real ground clutter, confirmed the ground clutters model is valid.
