THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN POLLUTED INSULATOR LEAKAGE CURRENT AND HUMIDITY

The tests are carried out in the fully-insulated climate chamber, especially in higher humidity and saturated moisture conditions, and the effect of the equivalent salt deposit density (ESDD), the nonsoluble deposit density (NSDD) and the relative humidity (RH) on the LC are analyzed.The result shows that they have the similar nonlinear function.With the increase of the relative humidity especially to 90% RH, surface discharge phenomenon changes apparently.
