THE APPLICATION OF RESONANT COMPENSATION IN NEUTRAL GROUNDING MODE OF LARGE HYDRO-GENERATOR

In order to solve the problem that the stator grounding fault current becomes greater with the larger capacity of hydro-generator, one Neutral Grounding Mode is presented through analyzing the principle on Large Hydro-Generator with Compensation Resonant Neutral Grounding.Comparing with High Resistance Grounding, this mode can limit the grounding fault current and provide better protection to the stator iron and winding.Based on multi-loop analysis model, one 700MW hydro-generator in Three Gorges Power Plant is simulated, the data shows the feasibility of this method.
