Interval-based Confidence Computing for Complex Event Processing over Uncertain RFID Data Streams

The occurrence time of each RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) event may be uncertain. Recognizing patterns over events with imprecise timestamps had been studied in 1J; however, the proposed method for confidence computation, which needs to enumerate all point matches in the valid intervals of the matched events, is very primitive. In this paper, we propose a temporal interval-based method to support more efficient confidence computation and thus efficient complex event processing (CEP) over RFID streams with imprecise timestamps. Experimental results show that our method is relatively efficient.
