Analysis and Calculation of Electromagnetic Force under Two-phase Short-circuit Fault of High Voltage Asynchronous Motor

According to the fact that high voltage asynchronous motors often run under many faults, this paper established the dynamic force mathematic calculation model of high voltage asynchronous motor by combining two-dimensional field-circuit-motion coupled step-finite element method with Maxwell stress method. By calculation, the electromagnetic force dynamic distribution of these key points in the gear parts of the stator and the rotor core was analysed when the two-phase short-circuit fault occurred in the motor. The calculation results showed that when the two-phase short-circuit fault occurred in high voltage asynchronous motor, the stress state of different position in the stator and the rotor gear was very different and the electromagnetic force peak varied considerably. The conclusion obtained in this paper could provide reference for the engineering design of high voltage asynchronous motors and the diagnosis of malfunctions in actual operation.
