The research about the torque motor controller of automobile electromechanical braking system based on FPGA

In this paper, a design method of the brushless DC motor electronic control unit (ECU) of electromechanical brake system (EMB) based on FPGA is mainly introduced. To realize the function of the electronic mechanical brake system controlling the speed of the brushless DC motor. FPGA is used to control the switch MUSKET, and make its six channel PWM code output to regulate the motor armature voltage, so as to adjust the motor speed. Driver modules was designed by the hardware circuit, and the design of PWM generation module and PWM dead zone module was realized by VHDL language programs. Finally, it was simulated in Quartus ii. The experiments show that FPGA has a very good real-time performance and reliability in brushless DC motor control.
