Study on Preparing Crystalline C3N4

Plasma-detonation synthesis was developed to synthesize the superhard material C3N4- The method integrates the advantages of plasma and detonation in carbon nitride preparation. In the method hightempreture plasma was supplied through high-voltage impulsing power source, TNT was detonator and C3N6H6 was reactant. The samples of prepared were analyzed and characterized by the ways of SEM, EDS, XRD and FTIR. The results show that average crystalline size is l.lum, and most particle is hexagon. The quality ratio of carbon to nitrogen is about 1. 00: 1.77 and the products are mainly a-C3N4 and P-C3N4, g- C3N4 and a few of CNi phase. The main valence bonds are CN and C=N.
