Flight Simulator Servo System Friction Compensation Based on Variable Structure Control
As friction is the main nonlinear resistance in the flight simulator servo system which can lead to overall flight simulator performance degradation.The mathematical model of flight simulator servo system was created based on a three-axis servo system and the LuGre friction model was analyzed.Exponential approach law was introduced into variable structure control and the robust controller was realized.The simulation result shows the sliding mode controller has superior position tracking and speed tracking performance for low speed servo system with friction compensated effectively.
