A Novel Multi-Octave Band Wilkinson Power Divider
In this paper, a novel microstrip cicrcuit structure for a muit-octave Wilkinson power divider is described. The designed power divider is composed of two-step taper stubs and two radial opended-stubs (RS). The symmetry of this circuit which is obtained by Wilkinsons power divider allows the analysis of the method of odd- and even-mode excitations of the circuit, the use of taper and RS provide a multioctave bandwidth. Its a very simpleness and low cost modeled. Its good performance is demonstrated using simution by HFSS from a 3-16GHz band in this paper. It can achieve excellent input/ouputs return losses isolation, insertion loss and amplitude/phase balance over a octave bandwidth.
