A Compact Filter with Resonating-Irises and Shorting Stubs
This paper presents a filter with resonating-irises and shorting stubs. Each shorting stub not only creates a transmission zero, but also serves as the impedance inverter between adjacent resonatingirises, to form the bandpass filter. Transmission zeros (TZs) at both sides of the passband of a broadband as well as a narrow band filter can be realized. The configuration parameters and simulated results are presented. Tested results agree well with the simulation results. The length of the sample filter is less than 20% of a directly-coupled waveguide filter with the same specifications.
