Design of microwave filter with resonant irises of resonant windows at different location

This paper presents the design methods of microwave filter with resonant windows instead of traditional cavity resonator. A equivalent circuit model with parallel resonator and the resonant irises as resonator is shown. And then, a Chebyshev filter without transmission zeros is designed. In this filter, the main coupling is achieved by quarterwavelength waveguide, and there is not crosscoupling. The filter has highly selective, also decreased dimension comparing with traditional direct-coupled half wavelength resonator ones. Using Uwave as EM tools, which is compiled with Mode Match Method, the result is accurate.
