Suburban-rural contrasts of radiation budget in Beijing
Based on measurements of radiation fluxes at a suburban and a rural site in Beijing city simultaneously during the period from June to December in 2009, the contrastive characteristics and diurnal variations of radiation budget and surface albedo at different landscapes were analyzed. The results show that daily mean values of radiation components and net radiation in summer were higher than those in winter at study sites. Moreover, diurnal values of radiation components and net radiation were generally smaller at suburban than those at rural site, except for upward longwave radiation. Mean albedo values in summer was 0.149 at suburban and 0.152 at rural sites, which separately lower than 0.335 at suburban and 0.278 rural sites in winter, due to solar angle and surface seasonal characteristics. More radiation measurements to conduct at various urban land-use types are required in the further.
