Life Cycle Energy Statistical Analysis Of Buildings By Literature Review

Based on life cycle theory, this article divided life cycle energy into embodied energy and operating energy, then analyzed case data on 63 buildings from 10 countries. First, this article applied linear regression analysis to build a linear model. High degree of coefficient of determination indicated high correlation existing between operating energy and life cycle energy. Further, the article employed onesample t-tcst and compared the means of embodied energy in order to prove that low-energy buildings could reduce operating energy as well as embodied energy at present. At last, by one-way analysis of variance, this study showed the energy used in office buildings was much greater than that used in residential buildings.
