The study on the combination of PEMFC stacks

In this study, 3 types of PEMFC stacks, Le. the laminated stack, non-laminated parallel stack and non-laminated series stack, were selected and investigated. Performances of the combinations of 3 kinds of stacks and each component unit cells were measured under the different flow rates of reactant gases. As the results, the performance of a laminated stack was higher than that of a non-laminated stacks, owing to its lower electrical resistance by cellsconnecting. Also, the performance of a non-laminated parallel stack was higher than that of a nonlaminated series stack because of less flow of reactant gases in the last cell.
