Rheological Studies on PS/PVAc Blends

In the present study the blends are thoroughly characterized for their compatibility, through Viscosity. The polymeric blends composed of PVAc/PS have been prepared by solution casting method. The room temperature casting of the blends developed a considerable amount of the blend. So, during film formation temperature was responsible for the observed the films of blends. Physical properties of polymers in solution play a key role in the fabrication technology of polymers. Poly styrene as the thermoplastic additive is an illustration of another principle of the importance of thermoplastic properties. The specific volume of polystyrene at any temperature is greater than either that of PVAc. yet it is not nearly as effective as either of these materials for controlling shrinkage |1|. The present investigation was aimed to carry out systematic studies of the dilute and concentrated solution properties of PS and PVAc in Toluene at different temperatures and concentrations. the dilute solution properties usually studied by viscosity measurement.
