Heat Storage Experiment of the Microencapsulated Phase Change Material Slurry in a Horizontal Rectangular Tank

Heat storage experiment by natural convection in rectangular tanks heated from below has been conducted with fluidity slurry composed of microencapsulated phase change material (PCM). The slurry shows a peak value in the specific heat capacity with latent heat at the temperature of about T = 31 ℃. The effects of the heating wall temperature TH, the PCM mass concentration Cm of the PCM slurry and the height//of the tank on heat storage are revealed, respectively.
