Battery Effective Time Synchronization in Wireless Sensor Networks

The hybridization of telecom and IT devices has evolved new ways of development in hardware with improved reliability and quality of service. The reduced size of communication devices has made it possible to utilize low power in comparison to the services. The rapid advancement in micro-sensor technology offered a challenging platform to deploy controlled Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) with efficient message exchange mechanism. Message exchange between the sensor nodes is used in all types of time synchronization methods. Physical channel access time and energy efficiency are the core issues in wireless sensor networks. The most significant aspect of conducting this research is that it allows focusing and exploring the pros and cones of mechanism of time synchronization in WSN. Furthermore, in order to support the idea of the subject an in-depth analysis is performed which proved to be helpful to provide better understanding of the time synchronization factor, however, depth first search algorithm will remain the focal area of the research.
