Hybrid dynamic modeling and simulation of multi-axis laser welding machine tool
To simply determine the accuracy of multi-axis laser welding path, this article proposes a hybrid dynamic modeling method for mechanical system with lumped elastic and flexible parts, based on finite segment and finite element modeling. The method is applied to a multi-axis laser welding machine tool, leading to the establishment of its dynamic virtual prototyping. The accuracy of the multi-body dynamics modeling is verified by a hammering test in LMS. Then, a welding trajectory is used to examine the accuracy of welding torch path motion by simulation. Results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and provide a theoretical evident for structure design and stability analysis of laser welding machine tool.
