An Approach to Analyzing Infrastructure Availability Regarding Data Distribution Schema and ITIL Concepts
In recent years, IT planning alignment is toward service oriented architecture in every eorganization. To provide services with acceptable quality to customers, different data distribution models can be considered by regarding an organizations users and costumers distribution pattern. In every data distribution schema, infrastructure components can influence quality of related services. Infrastructure means components such as WAN links, EDCs (Enterprise Data centers) and hardware. In an enterprise organization with different branches in whole over country, WAN links have more important rule in end user service quality. For such organizations, data entry performed from different gateways: Internet, mobile, Intranet (from belonged branches). After data gathering and processing as a daily routine, different applications use them to service different managers, employers and users. To achieve desired SLA, in addition to infrastructure components, also EDCs distribution model can be effective. This paper aims to predict availability for infrastructures according to 3 data distribution (and as a result EDC distribution) models by aid of ITIL definition and finally proposed calculable & predictable SLA method for each model and based on the result and selecting proper model, impact of infrastructure ( and specially WAN link) inconsistency will be mitigated.
