Dimensions of Quality of Life toward Quality of Work-life Development:A Case Study in Thailand
This research has the aims to examine levels and compare between teacher in government and private school of quality of life and quality of work-life. Moreover, to find out factors relating to quality of life that affects the development of quality of worklife. The populations are teachers under supervision in Chiang Mai Educational Area, Chiang Mai Province as a case study in Thailand. The research instrument used is questionnaires. The data obtained is then processed through statistical analysis in both descriptive and inferential statistic. The findings indicate that quality of life of teachers in general is in the medium level. Therefore, teachers in different educational organizations have different levels of quality of work-life in all aspects. Therefore, quality of work-life of teachers in different Educational Areas, it found that groups of teachers under supervision of Educational Area Region 1, Region 2, Region 3, and Region 5 have lower quality of work-life than the ones in Educational Area Region 4. The findings also reveal that factors of quality of life that affect quality of work-life of teachers include consumption and services aspect, government aspect, health aspect, social aspect, living aspect, family aspect, and property possession aspect.
